T-Motor MN501-S KV240 IP45 UAV Motor for Multirotor/VTOL/Fixed Wing, 5.2kg Thrust

Overview

T-Motor MN501-S KV240 IP45 is a multirotor fixed wing UAV motor designed for general UAV applications including multi-rotors, VTOL, and fixed-wing platforms. It is specified with up to 5.2 kg max thrust and an MTBF of about 1000 hours, and uses a bell-cap structure intended to support dust protection and efficient cooling.

Key Features

• Max thrust: 5.2 kg
• MTBF: About 1000 hours
• Protection rating: IP45
• Cooling design: Centrifugal fan design of bell cap actively cools the motor; heat dissipation performs 10% better than ordinary motors (manufacturer statement)
• High-temperature & overload resistance: Special varnished wires of high temperature resistance; high temperature resistant magnets employed for motor heat and overload resistance
• Dust/water/corrosion resistance: Dust-resistant, waterproof, anti-corrosion; anti-rust and anti-corrosion treatment applied to shaft, bearing, wires, silicon steel sheet, magnets and bell (manufacturer statement)
• Foreign object protection: Keeps motor away from > 1 mm foreign objects even when motors are mounted upside down (manufacturer statement)
• Locking method: T shape shaft secured with a circlip and a screw for safety and reliability under high RPM and power without rotor looseness; double security
• Operation system: 6 mm steel shaft and 15 mm big bearing
• Performance optimization: Anti-high temperature curved magnets; motor performance improvement by 5%+ (manufacturer statement)
• Mounting note: When mounting the motor, please make sure the thread inside the motor is <= 5 mm
• Strong power, long service life; impact resistant; stable & reliable; safe (manufacturer statements)
